THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN — The Denali Coven Casting Update:

Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Denali Coven as outlined below.

The Denali Coven is comprised of Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) as Eleazar;

Casey LaBow (Moonlight) as Kate;

Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) as Carmen;

MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) as Tanya;

as well as previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) as Irina.

The Denali Coven is the only other “vegetarian” vampire coven in the world, considered cousins to the Cullens. The next chapter of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011 and the second coming to theatres on November 16, 2012.

Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The project, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing.

‘Breaking Dawn’ wins Teen Read Award For Best Lip Lock!

Breaking Dawn won the Best Lip Lock award at the Teen Reads Awards, which were held on Sept. 25th!  They had stiff competition from other popular series’ like The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. Congratulations to all the winners, and of course, Stephenie Meyer for her Breaking Dawn win.

Maggie Grace Vampire Makeover (As Irina)

Confirmed: Maggie Grace will play Irinia in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Yesterday we reported this, but asked you to take the info with a grain of salt. However, it is now CONFIRMED that Maggie Grace will indeed be playing Irina in the Breaking Dawn movie! Here’s what Gossip Cop reported:

“Maggie Grace has been cast as vampire Irina in Breaking Dawn, Gossip Cop has confirmed.

Grace is perhaps best known for her stint on “Lost” and role as Liam Neeson’s imperiled daughter in Taken.

Her “Twilight Saga” character is a member of the Denali coven who blames the Cullen clan for the death of her lover.

The first of the two Breaking Dawn installments will be released in November 2011.”

Aldo Quintino working to snag the role of Nahuel for the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn

One thing I’ve learned from running this website is that Twilight fans love Aldo Quintino. The feedback I’ve received about this model/actor has been unreal. Fans want to see Aldo Quintino get cast for the role of Nahuel in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and now, Aldo has reported on his official website that he’s working with his manager and agent to audition for the role! (Did I just hear a million Twi-Hards scream?) Here’s is what he wrote on his website:

“It is an honor to be considered by you guys to be Nahuel in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movie. My managers and agent are doing the best they can for me to audition for that role. I think that would be really awesome and I hope I get the part.”

Three reasons Why Mackenzie Foy makes a perfect Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn’

Here is a great new video that popsugar put together consisting of three reasons why Mackenzie Foy will make a great Renesmee Cullen in Breaking Dawn! I happen to agree. She looks amazing on camera, has character and gits the look!

Mackenzie Foy cast as Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn’?

Thebreakingdawnmovie.org blogged back in June that Mackenzie Foy would make a great Renesmee in the Breaking Dawn movie. Now, several sources are saying she has indeed booked the role! Here’s is what EW.com had to say:

“It’s a big day for Twihards. First Maggie Grace signs on to play Irina. Now EW.com has learned that little 9-year old Mackenzie Foy is inches away from signing on to play Renesmee, Edward and Bella’s vampire/human love child that’s a central role in the final installment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”

Here is what Access Hollywood has reported:

“Actress Mackenzie Foy is reportedly close to signing on for “The Twilight Saga’s” pivotal role of Renesmee, Bella and Edward’s vampire/human child.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 9-year-old actress is “inches away” from landing the role that plays a major part in “Breaking Dawn.”

An EW source said director Bill Condon might use digital effects like those seen in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” to age the actress. During the last installment of “The Twilight Saga,” Renesmee grows to the age of 17 in only seven years.

Mackenzie has previously appeared on the small screen in one episode each of “FlashForward” and “‘Til Death.”

Kellan Lutz Talks “Breaking Dawn” Birth Scene: “I love the Way they’re showing it”

Kellan Lutz recently chatted about Breaking Dawn with E! Online. He talked about his contact lense and wardrobe fitting, Bella’s birthing scene and more:

“We start sometime in October and go all the way through to late April,” Kellan Lutz says. “I just did a [wardrobe fitting] and a contact lenses test.”

As for that much anticipated, hard-to-imagine birthing scene…

Lutz cracked, “I think they should show it and have Emmett in the background laughing.”

Joking aside, Lutz says he knows what director Bill Condon has planned for the potentially gory sequence. “I love the way that they’re showing it,” he said. “I really thought that was going to be really a tough thing to show.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Casting Rumor: Maggie Grace to play Irina!

The newest casting rumor is swirling the net that Maggie Grace has been cast to play Irina in the Breaking Dawn movie. Here is what Deadline has reported:

EXCLUSIVE: Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.  Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films.

Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.

As always, take with a grain of salt – these are rumors until Summit confirms it. However, I personally think that if she has indeed been cast in Breaking Dawn as Irina, she’d be great for the role
