Bella Swan’s House under Construction for ‘Breaking Dawn’

Fans are already making visits to the Breaking Dawn movie sets and snapping pics of  developments. Below are some pics of the beginning stages of Bella Swan’s house which is being built in Vancouver (Keery Park). There’s also a fan report from the set.

Report:

I drove by Keery Park today and they are building Bella’s House.
Production will only build Bella’s house if they are planning to shoot exterior shots and do not like to leave the house erected for long periods of time.  The house is a shell and not made to withstand Canadian winters.
The house takes a couple of weeks to build.  It is close to the end of September right now and I understand all the cast is set to meet mid October for pre-production in New Orleans.

I predict the cast will return to Vancouver as early as late October and early November to complete some exterior work including work at Bella’s house.   They will probably return to the locations along Quarry Road and Capilano Park.

There is a guard at the park.  The lower driveway into the basement is under construction.  The landscaping is underway and the house is on location covered by blue tarp.  The curb is complete and the hedging is in.  The three trees in front and Jacob’s tree on the side have yet to be planted so to speak.

19. Confrontation

-   Leah, Clearwater

I awoke lying on the couch in my apartment, my head propped up by a few flattened cushions. “Well at least you didn’t kill me while I was asleep, now that would have been unfair,” I hissed, pulling myself up on my elbows flinching when my back felt tight.

Daniel walked from the kitchen carrying a steaming cup of coffee, he was only wearing a pair of old ripped jeans. “You make assumptions too fast; I was simply aiming for a shock not for the kill. I was angry.” He paused in mid-stroll and angled his body away from me.

“And still are angry. No cup of coffee for me?” I asked, breaking the frightening silence. How could I have imprinted on him? Daniel seemed so frigid and human, but he can turn into a panther? – A living, breathing, panther with jet black fur and green fathomless eyes. He reminded me of Jacob (after he had first turned and wasn’t allowed to see Bella Swan) somehow; cut off and angry with the world for making him different.

His figure seemed to glisten in the dim light of the apartment. I rubbed my eyes compulsively to see if it was my throbbing headache but it wasn’t. Daniel was thickly outlined what could only be described as raw sunlight bursting through the windows for the first time on a morning – it was like a hydrogen bomb exploding on the sun. It must be an imprint thing.

“Why did you imprint on me?” he questioned, his hands shaking faintly hysterically. When I didn’t answer he repeated the question harshly, adding quietly, “I didn’t want this.”

The Leah I knew would have retorted back sourly and it would be like my head unscrewing from my neck in anger and frustration; but I understood him to some strange extent. “I didn’t want to imprint either. I was happy with my life and  finally starting to feel human again.”

“This is your entire fault,” Daniel shouted, punching the wall with his clenched fist. The cup of coffee fell to the floor staining the light carpet, a black stain against white. Pollution against purity. Human against the super-natural. I was neither, but rather half of each, a cross-breed. “We can never be fully human,” Daniel continued, biting his lower lip.

“Did you really think I wanted to imprint as well?” I cried hoarsely, tears brimming in my eyes. “I hate myself for it. I came here to get away from all that but here you are. So don’t say this is my fault, Daniel!”

He recoiled at the use of his name. “How do you break an imprint?” he stuttered.

“You can’t.”

“Dammit, there has to be a way,” he yelled turning around fast on his bare heels and was standing in front of my face; his eyes were sad and conflicted. His hands were trembling as they grasped my arms tightly and shook me ferociously, my head hitting into the wall occasionally.

My heart was hammering; I clutched my own fist and slammed it against his face so hard  he fell against the coffee table – snapping it in two. I muttered a quick curse – ‘crap! That was the only table I had!’ – Then I stepped towards him on the ground and growled at Daniel as I pulled him up. “Don’t you dare touch me again!” I touched the skin on my arms, letting out a tender yelp when it stung. “Do you understand? You may be my stupid imprint; but, you have no right to hurt me in my own home.”

I let go of him. “Oh god, I’m sorry,” he stumbled as he sagged against the wall and fell onto his knees in a horror-struck silence. My hormones were raging – not in a sexual way, jeez! But in an adrenalin type of way – I pulled my arms around my chest and sat by him. Even just sitting there with Daniel I could read him like an open book; so for the next couple of hours I sat cross-legged next to him and waited for him to snap out from his own personal up-in-the-clouds situation. For a second, I even found myself staring at his face in dismay and stroking his cheekbone where a solid purple bruise was forming.

In was hours before he broke free of his reverie, it was almost midnight: the moon hung half-crested in the midnight sky, the stars glistening like individual shards of glitter, the backdrop of North Vancouver a silhouetted shadow and the sounds that came out at night were dreadfully loud but muffled by a quiet rustle of bushes and the crunch of twigs outside. It was stupid not to take attention of this but I felt calm and tranquil – my head having found itself in the arch of Daniel’s neck.

Daniel mumbled something about ‘paying a debt’ almost sleepily, as if he’d fallen into a deep slumber, and then he was twitching and slowly opening his eyes groggily. I moved my head instantly and felt color flood my cheeks. He started by making quiet mumbles and grunts and then he leaned his head against the wall and looked at me, his eyes widened with a new sense of familiarity and understanding. He pulled my arm from where it was resting on my knees and stroked the band of red skin where his hand had grabbed it. “I truly am sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was just so shocked and angry, Leah…”

“Be still,” I put my finger to his lips. “I forgive you.”

He heaved a deep sigh of relief, I felt the brush of his lips against my fingers and I pulled them back embarrassed. The imprint connection felt more natural more than forced right at that moment. I felt as if Daniel was chosen for a reason but there was an insatiable twitching at the back of my mind saying there was something or someone else.

He pushed his dark hair away from his eyes. “I was just a normal boy when I changed; I had no idea what was wrong with me. I was in the house with my family when it happened; I had been adopted when I was three years old after I was found on the door-step of the adoption building you see,” he stated fairly coldly.

“You don’t have to tell me,” I whispered.

“I do. I was in the family room with my adopted mother, father and my six year old sister. They thought I was faking when I said I was feeling like I was burning and that I was ill – they thought I was trying to get off school tomorrow because I had an exam (he snorted). My father shouted at me and that started the change off, next thing I knew was that I was some massive panther in the living room. They screamed and ran off. I left and found myself here on the streets. Here is now where I live.”

My heart throbbed for him. “Oh god, I’m sorry. My change couldn’t compare to yours.” I distracted myself by watching my hands. “My father’s death triggered off my change. He was killed by a…”

“A vampire?”

I nodded stiffly and gulped down a large blockage in my throat. “Yeh, that’s it.”

“Filthy bloodsuckers they are; can’t help but kill an innocent man who most properly was…” he ranted on.

My heart stumbled in its frantic beating. “Please don’t. I really don’t want to talk about it and its past midnight, do you want to stay here the night?”

All of a sudden, fear and anger filled Daniels face. He threw himself up and ran to the door, pulled it open, scanned outside, shut it again and looked at me with frighteningly. “Why didn’t you tell me its past midnight?” he barked.

I scowled at him, “I didn’t think I needed to.”

“Stupid girl! Now we’re both going to die! They’ll come for me and find you here, and you’re going to die because of me. Stupid, stupid and more stupid. How could I have come here and put you in danger?”

I pulled myself up, strolled towards him and grabbed his flaying hands, “What is going to happen?” I demanded.

Then, out of the blue, the windows were smashed and glass shattered everywhere. The door was blasted open and through them came loads of vampires – their coal black eyes hungry and focused on the kill.

“That’s going to happen,” Daniel said.

Breaking Dawn Movie Will Not Be 3-D!

A website recently reported that the Breaking Dawn movie would be shot in 3-D – however, Gossip Cop has spoken with Summit Entertainment and discovered that this is not the case. Here is what Gossip Cop has reported:

“A rep for Summit tells Gossip Cop, “Neither film is being shot in 3D,” and calls the rumors “fabricated.”

And a source informs Gossip Cop that while 3D effects can be added during post-production (as they have with some recent releases), right now it is too premature to say whether either part of Breaking Dawn will be converted.”

So here’s a recap on what we do know so far ( we will always keep you updated):

2 movies released in November 2011 and 2012 respectively

Not currently shooting in 3-D, but it could be added in post production like it was for The Last Airbender.

Directed by Bill Condon

Shooting in Louisiana, Vancouver and potentially Brazil (still under negotiation)

18. True Colors

-   Leah, Clearwater

He wandered through the crowd knowingly; it was like he was walking through a field of moving asteroids and he still knew the correct path. Glances from all around were glued to his retreating figure.

“Hey honey, you’re about to spill your drink.” Ben’s voice split my concentration. I was in pure, raw agony. I couldn’t think, breathe or even speak without stammering. Everything from La Push had been building inside of me, then suddenly it blew up in my face and now I’m imprinted. The very thing I wanted to avoid and to get away from.

“Um, sorry,” I mumbled quietly putting my face in my hands. I felt like silently weeping.

Ben put a reassuring hand on my shoulder; I could see his concerned glance from behind his blonde hair which covered his eyes. “I would be feeling like crap as well if I learnt my crush was getting it on with some thin stick figure,” he chirped in.

My eyes widened in anger, “What did you just say?”

“You didn’t hear? Everyone’s talking about it; I thought you would have heard. Jeremy told me about it at the counter; he’s so full of gossip…” Ben trailed on dreamily.

“Which plastic doll is he playing ‘Ken’ with?” I asked, momentarily distracted from my inner turmoil.

I started to feel feverish as I thought about it in detail. “Erm…Tara Leigh, she got her claws out before you had a chance. Don’t get down, that piece of artificial plastic won’t get far with him. And he’s totally not worth  you now, Leah.”

I groaned into my cup as I took another sip of my Espresso, biting my tongue when it turned out to be too hot. I took another glance over towards the other side of the coffee shop and snapped my head back as soon as he caught me gawking at him like an idiot. Completely foolish, why did I just do that! Does he know I imprinted on him? How is he feeling about it? That’s if the feelings aren’t forced upon him. “My day is getting better and better,” I responded, my voice thick with sarcasm.

“Have you noticed the new guy?” Ben asked curiously, changing the topic of the conversation. “He’s just simply scrumptious, I could eat him up.”

I raised an eyebrow at him and wagged a finger disapprovingly, “Well I guess Jeremy won’t like that and maybe I should tell him as he’s walking this way anyways.”

Ben instantly jerked around in the seat to check; then he ran his fingers through his hair nervously, straightened his crinkled Band T-Shirt and pulled on a confident smile. “I didn’t say I liked him that way, Leah. Now Sssh,” he hissed under his breath.

“Go get him tiger.” I made a quiet roaring sound and made the claw motion with my fingers. He punched my shoulder playfully and then turned to look at Jeremy who was three steps away from the booth we were sitting in.

Ben stepped from the booth and they both walked outside for a chat. I was left alone, again, with my imprint staring at me from the other side of the room. My heart leapt into my throat and I had to swallow several times to force it back down into my chest. It was beating rapidly like the fluttering wings of a moth that was attracted to a flame. However, this time if I got too close to that flame, I would burn out and die.

I had to be careful around this boy. I didn’t want to imprint, so I’m not going to, I thought to myself. I’ll simply not reciprocate the feelings this boy is forced to feel because of the imprint. It might hurt temporarily, but I’ll do anything to stay happy and not to crawl back into that dark hole I used to be stuck in.

I then caught him staring at me – big brown, fathomless eyes that screamed stay away from me. I flinched violently, clasped my hands around the straps of my rucksack – ringing them tight in my grasp – and then I pulled myself up quickly and left the room so fat it must have looked like a blur. I could still feel his glare on my back as I left, the usual his eyes burning holes through my soul junk.

I strode around the corner into the back alley; my shoulders stiff, spine straight and my head held in as much dignity that I could muster up then I screamed into my hands until bolts of violet shone before my eyes. After I wiped the strained tears away from my face I gathered myself together and found Ben and Jeremy coming from the coffee shop. “Where have you been girl? I’ve been looking for you everywhere. I’ll see you later,” he winked at Jeremy, pecked him on the cheek and came towards me.

I laughed faintly hysterically, “So he finally caved in to your charm, I’m guessing?”

Ben blushed furiously, his skin semi-permanently blemished rosy. “That’s why he came over. He wanted to ask me on a date. It turns out he has liked me for the past few weeks,” he winked cheekily and chuckled ecstatically.

“I’m happy for you. Really.” I put a hand on his wrist and pulled on a happy smile. “By the way, do you mind telling our lecturer I feel ill today? I need to go home.”

“How do you feel ill?” He started acting all professional-like. Testing my temperature, having a shocking gasp when my temperature was blazing hot (although that’s a wolf side-effect) counting my heart beats from my wrist – although very unsuccessfully – and then finally giving in with a sigh of heavy relief. “Get yourself home; I’ll deal with the lecturers temper tantrum if she has one.”

I pulled him into a warm hug, “Thank you, Ben. Have fun on your date tonight. You have to tell me everything tomorrow.”

“Oh I will,” he added a mischievous grin. “I’ll meet you here at twelve. See you later!” He waved me goodbye and set off for Astronomy. Another plus for not attending was I didn’t have to see Joshua with Tara draped over his shoulder like curtains. Not a pretty sight.

It turns out my body alarm didn’t need an afternoon nap at the apartment, so instead I pulled myself along to work. I was gratefully added to the line of the staff for this afternoon, even though it was my day off. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail (it had grown out now and it was past my shoulders) and threw on my work pants and shirt.

I pulled my weight that afternoon; busted loads of tables, took in several large orders, got some generous tips, got my butt slapped by some lad that I felt like punching – I cornered him later – and got whistled at, but of course, I just scowled and walked away. There were some positive and negative factors to working here. After a few hard hours of work I parked myself at one of the stools at the bar and heaved a breathless sigh. Leon moved himself along by my side and started wiping the counter down with an old oil-stained rag. “What’s up, Leah? Regret working on your day off?” he chuckled.

“Not really, I’m just tired and I’ve had a really iffy day. I just want to go to sleep and forget anything ever happened.”

I could see from a distance, dust covering the speckled surfaces of unused dark green champagne bottles, the faded blood red ribbons that were tied around the necks of the bottles and the bright yellow labels. “College, boy or family troubles?”

“None actually, my troubles are not quite of this earth.”

“Oh heavens,” he shouted mockingly. “You’re not an alien, are you?”

I shook my head – nope, I’m a shape-shifter who can turn into a wolf. “Nope I’m not. Don’t worry; I wont abduct you in your sleep.”

“You better not, I’ll be having good dreams tonight and waking me up will get me really annoyed.”

My work day ended on a laughing note and I was glad of that. All of my imprint troubles seemed to be melting away and when I left the restaurant I hurried down a quiet and desolate alleyway and felt a familiar shiver down my spine. It felt good to be back! My two legs transformed into four paws, my face into a long muzzle with snapping jaws. My wolf coat was longer now since my hair had grown, I’d have to get it cut again. I padded back and forth feeling the wind curling through my fur, the concrete underneath my weight and the new strong smells of the city – Grease, burning tires, garbage, the sewers…

I ran back to my apartment through a maze of back alleys, if I was seen in the city it was certain that animal control would be called. Soon enough I found myself at my door. I changed back, using the clothes stashed near a plant pot by my door I pulled them on. I was just pulling my top over my head when I heard a low growling from behind me.

I spun around on my heels to find a pair of yellow animalistic eyes watching me intently; I threw myself against the wall – although I wasn’t as scared as I acted. The eyes disappeared and I heard a low chuckle echo in the darkness. “Who’s there?” I demanded.

“Don’t know who I am yet, do you? Maybe I should introduce myself.” From the shadows emerged my so-called imprint – his chocolate hair dented to one side, his lips in a somewhat cruel, yet surprising smile. He was stark naked. I looked away, instantly embarrassed. “I thought you’d be used to seeing this sort of thing?” he questioned, gesturing to his body.

“What do you mean?”

He took a few paces nearer to me; my skin was alight with wild electricity. “With your pack, I mean. I’m sure you saw stuff like this before,” again, signaling his nude body.

Oh god! How does he know? And why doesn’t he put any clothes on. I had enough of naked half-men back at La Push. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Well maybe we should start over. My name’s Daniel, and I am just like you.”

I was about to ask how he is similar to me when all of a sudden; his skin melted away and instead of Daniel standing naked in front of me, a black prowling panther was strolling in front of me. Its hungry eyes at my throat.

“Your…you’re…a…?”

The panther growled. A shape-shifter just like you, Daniel replied inside of my mind.

“How is that possible?”

Welcome to my world, my imprint. His voice was bitter and it sliced through me. That was around about the time when I blacked out.
