Jack Morrissey Says Breaking Dawn Part 1 is 1 Hour 55 Minutes

We recently reported that the IMDB page for the official Breaking Dawn movie (part 1) started that the run time for the film was 2 hours and 15 minutes. Thankfully Jack Morrissey  (director Bill Condon’s business partner) corrected this via his Twitter stating that it is actually 1 hour and 55 minutes long. Here are his Tweets:

Breaking Dawn Part 1 News: Updates From Jack Morrissey

Jack Morrissey has been very generous with taking to his Twitter to give fans tiny details about Breaking dawn part 1! Recently TwiFans broke down his Tweets and below are the most interesting!

  • The scene with the Mercedes Guardian was, unfortunately, cut from the script for the film because it is “[o]ne of those scenes that doesn’t serve an overall movie story pace.” I was afraid this might happen, but I’m not surprised.
  • “[T]here are scenes set in meadows and fields” in Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Wonder which ones?
  • “Charlie” will make us cry . . . twice. “[H]e’ll make you cry twice . . .  You’ll be very happy with the scenes and Billy [Burke] has never been better. He rocked it . . . Just wait until you watch the scenes, across both parts, then tell me if you miss anything. You will love his wedding toast.” Evidently, the moment when he is told of the wedding is the part we saw in the first trailer, with him holding his invitation.
  • “[H]ere’s my favorite thing about the trailer — it’s very good, but it doesn’t prepare you for the movie you’re getting.” How cryptic!
  • We won’t be missing the “Alice” and “Bella” friendship anymore after Breaking Dawn – Part 1. I guess there’ll be plenty of that, thank goodness.

Sleeping At Last Blogs ‘Special Announcement’

‘Sleeping At Last’ are one of my favorite artists (I Tweeted about it on my personal twitter account HERE when I discovered them randomly on Sept’ 11th. Sadly I got no reply *wipes tears*)

Anyhow, they’ve taken to their blog and announced their excitement about being featured on the Breaking Dawn part 1 soundtrack:

“BREAKING” NEWS!!!

I am thrilled to announce that a brand-new Sleeping At Last song will be featured in the upcoming major motion picture, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1“!!!!!!!!!!

It’s an exclusive song that I wrote for the film – a love song called “Turning Page.” It will be featured in the film, as well as on the original motion picture soundtrack! (An instrumental version of the song will also appear as a bonus track on the deluxe edition!)

The soundtrack will be released everywhere on November 8th and the film hits theaters on November 18th.

I am so very privileged to be a part of this and cannot wait to show you “Turning Page“!!!

10 Musician’s Twilight Fans Want To Hear On The ‘Breaking Dawn’ Soundtrack!

Tomorrow (Monday) the full track list for the official Breaking Dawn part 1 soundtrack will be released. In the meantime, the folks from TwiExaminer asked, ‘Who do you want to see on the official soundtrack?’ Below were the fan responses:

1. Robert PattinsonBy far, the most suggested artist for Breaking Dawn‘s soundtrack is Robert Pattinson. It’s been a long while since he’s been on a film soundtrack, and many cite his inclusion on Twilight‘s as the very reason for its paramount success. His recent performance for “Songs From a Room” suggests he’s still working on music, and we know he’ll at least perform something on-screen for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. It’s no surprise his name was the most-suggested. His two songs from the Twilight soundtrack – “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think” – were both strong and elemental in the scenes which they accompanied.

2. Adele - Adele would be the Florence + the Machine of Breaking Dawn if she were included in it. She’s got a strong, exceedingly soulful voice and rhythm, and if she were to offer up something for the album, it’d definitely be magic. A lot of you want to hear that.

3. Collective SoulCollective Soul was listed on several of Stephenie Meyer’s book play lists, and they’ve got a good sound for Twilight. Like Linkin Park, one of their songs was included on the Twilight soundtrack, but they haven’t done anything original for the album series just yet. Many fans hope they will, this go-round.

4. Evanescence - Evanescence is a definite fan-favorite for the Breaking Dawn album. Their dark, tempered music is certainly befitting of the mood of the Twilight Saga, and front woman Amy Lee has admitted to being a fan.
I’d say the chances that Evanescence could be included on the  Twilight Breaking Dawn soundtrack are pretty high.
5. 100 MonkeysJackson Rathbone and his 100 Monkeys have become a staple of the Twilight series, even though they’ve yet to have a song on any soundtrack. The band has thrived despite intense filming schedules and location changes, and they’ve just completed a big tour across the United States. Their second album, “Liquid Zoo,” just made waves, and they’ve probably got something worth including on the Breaking Dawn album tucked away.

6. Blue OctoberThere’s been a lot of back-and-forth between Justin Furstenfeld and Twilight. He and Stephenie Meyer have a great relationship – following his inclusion in her Breaking Dawn press tour in 2008 – but things just haven’t panned out for Blue October and the Saga‘s soundtracks yet. Many fans hope that Breaking Dawn will be the one that brings Blue October into the Twilight Saga musician manifold, once and for all.

Read the other four over at Examiner HERE!
Also, just for fun, leave who you think will be on the soundtrack on our Facebook wall HERE and tomorrow we’ll see if anyone guessed right!
