MTV Guesses Which Characters The New ‘Breaking Dawn’ Cast Members Will Play!
Yesterday we released a brand new list of fresh new people who were added to the Breaking Dawn movie cast! (Click here if you missed it. To see all their pics click here). The only thing is, Summit didn’t state which supporting roles these new cast members would take on. Luckily, MTV has made an attempt to figure out who could be playing which character:
TY Olsson:
The 36-year-old actor best known for his work in “2012″ and “X2″ is a dead ringer for the balding, middle-aged attorney James Jenks that Bella deals with several times over the course of “Breaking Dawn.” He has a fairly important part in the story, so it makes a lot of sense that an established actor would be cast in the role instead of a newcomer, like some of the new vampires were. Keep reading after the jump to see the other seven actors cast and which of the remaining roles—Isle Esme employees? J. Jenks and associates? Volturi posse?—we think they’ll be playing.
Wendell Pierce:
A seasoned actor thanks to roles in “The Wire” and “Treme” who seems to match the vague description given for Jenks’s in-between man Max. He is described as having “crinkly black hair” and “dark skin” that was “smooth and perfect,” a contradiction to his teeth that were “white and straight.” Though his age isn’t given, it can be assumed that an older man (like Wendell) would be working for Jenks, and not someone younger.
Amadou Ly
Nahuel is described as having skin that is an “impossibly rich, dark brown,” “warm teak” eyes and hair that was “black and braided, too, like the woman’s, though not as long.” Amadou Ly might not have that hair in the pictures we’ve seen online, but the 22-year-old Senegalian actor definitely satisfies Nahuel’s description in every other way.
Carolina Virguiez:
It seems very likely that Hispanic actress Carolina Virguiez will be playing Huilen, who is (based on the information in the book) probably in her 20s or 30s and is described as a “small olive-toned female vampire with a long braid of black hair.” Since Huilen is Machupe, an indigenous inhabitant of south-central Chile and southwestern Argentina, Carolina seems like a perfect match, but she also could be playing Kaure, a Brazilian employee at Isle Esme described as being “a slight female” with a face “creased with lines.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Breakouts: Which New Cast-members will Become Huge Stars?
We announced a ton of new Breaking Dawn cast-members yesterday and now MTV has come up with a great article outlining some of those stars’ resumes and their potential to hit it big. Similar to how no one knew who Xavier Samuel was prior to his role as Riley in Eclipse – some of these actors could suddenly experience huge overnight success from their roles in the Breaking Dawn movie. Lets take a look:
Lee Pace: The 31-year-old “Pushing Daises” star is easily the biggest name announced this week. And that gives us a hint that his character, Garrett (one of the American nomads), will likely play a meaty role in “Breaking Dawn.” Canceled last year, “Daises” was a critically lauded show that was perhaps a bit too quirky to attract a mainstream audience. Pace, though, is an immediately likable fellow with a boyish grin and an old soul. Expect to hear a ton about him in the coming months.
Noel Fisher: This former child actor is perhaps best known for his part in “The Riches,” an AMC drama in which he excelled, going to toe-to-toe with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. He’s one of those actors who can communicate a damaged rage with just one intense stare. His character, Vladimir (part of the Romanian coven), is not so much a smoldering vamp in the vein of Edward Cullen as a straight-up creep show. Yet that won’t stop fans from clamoring for the 26-year-old Fisher’s attention.
Judi Shekoni: The glamorous British actress is set to portray Zafrina of the Amazon coven. The part, which draws her into close contact with Bella and Renesmee, should give Shekoni a bunch of lines. That screen time, combined with her striking good looks, could set the actress up for an outpouring of affection from Twi-hards.
Joe Anderson: It’s unclear how large Anderson’s role, as European nomad Alistair, will end up being. But the guy has got acting chops: He turned what could have been a disposable supporting part in “The Crazies” into the film’s most compelling character. It’ll be interesting to see his look in “Breaking Dawn,” as Alistair is described as having dark hair, while Anderson is a natural blond. Regardless, the 28-year-old Brit deserves more than a passing glance from the “Twilight” community.

HUGE Confirmed ‘Breaking Dawn’ Casting Update!
From Summit Entertainment, here are the new cast members of the Breaking Dawn movie:
Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Amazon Coven, The Egyptian Coven, The Irish Coven and The Romanian Coven as well as the American and European Nomads as outlined below.
THE AMAZON COVEN
- Senna – Tracey Heggins
- Zafrina – Judi Shekoni
Among the oldest vampires in the world, Senna and Zafrina are descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe. They have lived outside of civilization for centuries and therefore make no attempt to keep up a human facade. Though they drink human blood, the Amazons have long been allies of Carlisle.
THE EGYPTIAN COVEN
- Amun – Omar Metwally
- Kebi – Andrea Gabriel
- Benjamin – Rami Malek
- Tia – Angela Sarafyan
The Egyptian Coven consists of Amun, Kebi, Benjamin, and Tia, with Amun as the leader. It is stated that even though they are not a biological family, they could pass for one. Amun is extremely protective of his family and fearful of Aro.
THE IRISH COVEN
- Maggie – Marlane Barnes
- Siobhan – Lisa Howard
- Liam – Patrick Brennan
The Irish Coven, a relatively young group, was founded by Siobhan and Liam, but Maggie’s talent made her an important element of it. They are not vegetarian but they are civilized.
THE ROMANIAN COVEN
- Vladimir – Noel Fisher
- Stefan – Guri Weinberg
The Romanian Coven is one of the oldest covens in the world and they were the ruling vampire family until they were unseated by the Volturi. For that reason they harbor a centuries old resentment of the Italian coven.
THE AMERICAN NOMADS
- Garrett – Lee Pace
- Mary – Toni Trucks
- Randall – Bill Tangradi
- Peter – Erik Odom
- Charlotte – Valorie Curry
Turned during the Revolutionary War, Garrett has chosen to live a nomadic existence, wandering the world on his own. Garrett has never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life, and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Though not a vegetarian, Garrett is among Carlisle’s closest and oldest friends.
Mary and Randall are American nomadic vampires.
Peter and Charlotte are nomadic vampires and mates. They were created during the aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars, in which Jasper was a key player. They have remained friends with Jasper ever since.
THE EUROPEAN NOMADS
- Alistair – Joe Anderson
A nomadic vampire from England, Alistair has a misanthropic, brooding personality and a deep mistrust of all authority. Although he counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance, he doesn’t visit more than once a century.

What Do ‘Breaking Dawn’ Stars Have Lined Up Before filming ‘Breaking Dawn’ part 1?
Wondering what the Breaking Dawn movie cast will be up to prior to beginning filming Breaking Dawn part 1? Thanks to MTV we have the scoop. Check it out:
With their major promotional duties over, and the record-breaking “Eclipse” in no need of any more star power, it stands to reason that the film’s cast members should be getting ready for some well-deserved rest and relaxation before heading back to work on “Breaking Dawn” in the fall.
That’s not the case, however, as many of the popular young actors are very much in demand for film studios and audiences alike at the moment. Here’s a look at what the “Eclipse”ters are up to in their “Twilight” downtime.
Taylor Lautner
Taylor Lautner is in Pittsburgh filming “Abduction,” alongside Sigourney Weaver and Lily Collins, directed by John Singleton.
“It’s a very real action-thriller,” Lautner told MTV News at the “Eclipse” premiere in L.A. “[It has a] great story, great cast and I start in, like, three days.”
Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson has been shooting the book-to-screen adaptation “Water for Elephants,” in which he plays a college dropout who becomes an animal caretaker for a traveling circus in the 1930s. Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz co-star. In addition to cutting his famous shaggy locks for the role, Pattinson told MTV News he’s picked up some coordination during filming.
“I’ve become a little less mal-coordinated in the last couple years,” he said. “[The film has] quite a few active bits. I’m pulling around horses and stuff, and I was like, ‘When have I suddenly become capable?’ “
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart will be busy with “On the Road,” co-starring “Tron: Legacy” star Garret Hedlund. Stewart recently told MTV News that she’s excited to work with Hedlund. “I’ve met him a bunch of times and hung out with him twice. He’s a great guy,” she said. “He’s written crazy stuff for it. He’s so in character right now. He’s driving to Montreal [for filming]. He’s awesome. I’m really excited.”
Anna Kendrick
Acclaimed “Up in the Air” star Anna Kendrick (a.k.a. Jessica) next appears in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and an untitled Seth Rogen comedy, but a role Kendrick is dying for is a part in the upcoming “Hobbit,” which she revealed to MTV News at the “Eclipse” premiere.
“Believe me, I spend many nights wondering that,” Kendrick said when asked if there might be a role in the upcoming Tolkien adaptation. “This is officially my feeler!”
Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz
Other busy bees include Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz. Greene will appear in “Apparition” opposite Sebastian Stan and Tom Felton, recently wrapped “Butter” with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman, and also has the action/sport film “Warrior” on her slate, opposite her “Twilight” sibling. Lutz, in addition to “Warrior,” is off kicking butt in Tarsem Singh’s Greek gods-centric epic “Immortals,” opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Freida Pinto, Isabel Lucas and Mickey Rourke.
