Summit Entertainment has conformed to Twilight Lexicon that JD Pardo has been officially cast to play the role of Nahuel in Breaking Dawn. You ca view JD’s IMDb page here for more pics and past projects.
Actress Christie Burke is rumored to play teenage Renesemee in Breaking Dawn. This has not yet been confirmed by Summit Entertainment, but we will keep you updated. I have added spoilers (under a spoiler cut) below regarding the scenes the actress who will play teenage Renesmee Cullen will star in.
Christie apparently gets to make out with Taylor Lautner in a flash-forward to Jacob and Renesemee living happily ever after…
Whether this is a Bella flash forward or when Jacob first imprints on her (as previous rumored Lainey script deets detailed a Jacob/Renesemee montage) will remain to be seen.
According to her representation, Performers Management Christie is 5′7, has hazel eyes, brown hair (though her pic totes look more auburn) and weighs 115lbs (plenty light enough for Jacob to spin her around in throws of adoration, etc).
P.S. I threw this comparison together quickly and have to say, YES! Amazing fit!!
Yesterday we reported this, but asked you to take the info with a grain of salt. However, it is now CONFIRMED that Maggie Grace will indeed be playing Irina in the Breaking Dawn movie! Here’s what Gossip Cop reported:
“Maggie Grace has been cast as vampire Irina in Breaking Dawn, Gossip Cop has confirmed.
Grace is perhaps best known for her stint on “Lost” and role as Liam Neeson’s imperiled daughter in Taken.
Her “Twilight Saga” character is a member of the Denali coven who blames the Cullen clan for the death of her lover.
The first of the two Breaking Dawn installments will be released in November 2011.”
The newest casting rumor is swirling the net that Maggie Grace has been cast to play Irina in the Breaking Dawn movie. Here is what Deadline has reported:
EXCLUSIVE: Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films.
Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.
Just like the title says, these are only rumors right now. However, often so-called ‘rumors’ turn out to be the real deal. So, for now we know that IMDB has listed 2 new actors cast in Breaking Dawn. Twilight Examiner Amanda Bell weighs in:
The first is Drew Roy, who the site notes is “rumored” to play “Nahuel.” That character, if you can’t quite place the name, is the one which [*spoiler alert*] which comes in at the very end as proof that “Renesmee” wasn’t the only one of her kind in the world and that she would grow up to normal size like the mortal that she is. As the TwilightSaga Wiki points out, ”Nahuel is described as an extremely handsome young latin man with rich dark brown skin, eyes the color of warm teak, and extremely attractive features. He wears his black hair in braid past his shoulders.” Drew Roy is a film and TV veteran of Hannah Montana, Greek, and others.
The second is Guri Weinberg, who IMDb.com has listed as “Stefan.” “Stefan” was one of the two Romanian vampires who had a particular distaste for the “Volturi” and hoped to see them fall once and for all. Per Twilight Wiki, “He has black hair and dresses in all black.” Guri Weinberg has been in films like Munich and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan.
ClevverTV just did this short video regarding humans an their return to the Breaking Dawn movie. I thought I’d post it, but I really want to know what you all think about which humans will return, and which are least likely to? ‘Like’ The Breaking Dawn movie on Facebook here–> (that’s where we do our chatting/discussing!)
A recent E! Online report that Lee Pace , who is known for his role in “Pushing Daisies,” could possibly snag the role of nomad vampire Garrett in the Breaking Dawn movie has Twi-Hards questioning if this is official, or not. E! reports that Lee is ‘thisclose’ to landing his spot in Breaking Dawn, however Gossip Cop has a different view.
Gossip Cop has checked with their sources and reported the following:
“A production source tells Gossip Cop no one has been cast, and a rep for Pace informs us the actor has not been approached.
So while it’s certainly possible that Pace tops a current wish list for producers, Summit, or director Bill Condon — much like Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s loose “connection” to Batman 3 — Pace’s casting shouldn’t be considered imminent.”
Remember, this is a possibility – and Gossip Cops ‘sources’ could just be holding back because they don’t want the public to know anything yet. Take everything in these early stages with a grain of salt.
