Robert Pattinson: I’m Too Old for More Twilight Movies

Although he would be interested to see how a sixth Twilight movie would pan out, we can’t guarantee to see Robert Pattinson reprise his role as Edward Cullen if the opportunity came up.

While at the world premiere for his new film, ‘Bel Ami,’ Robert Pattinson admitted:

“I’d be curious to see what [Stephenie Meyer] would write, but I just think I’d probably be too old by the time [they did it],” the actor told reporters on Friday in Berlin, where Pattinson was on hand for the world premiere of Bel Ami.

He added, “I’m already too old. But yeah, it’d be kind of interesting.”

His comments come after recent rumblings that the studio behind the blockbuster Twilight film franchise would develop a sixth movie should Meyer author a new book in the series.

Breaking Dawn Part 2, the fifth (and presumably final) film starring the Pattinson-Kristen Stewart-Taylor Lautner trio, opens in November.

Lionsgate: We’ll Make Sixth Twilight Movie If Stephenie Meyer Writes New Book

Come on Stephenie, get your fingers to the keyboard and write up a sixth Twilight book… please? Lionsgate would eagerly make it into a movie, as they stated. Read on:

From GossipCop:

There are more indications that The Twilight Saga could continue after Breaking Dawn Part 2, the fifth and (assumed to be) final film in the hit vampire series.

On Friday, Lionsgate executive Rob Friedman said that the studio would develop an additional movie should Twilight author Stephenie Meyer decide to write a fifth book.

“If she wishes to do it, we’ll be there to support her,” THR quotes Friedman as saying during a call with analysts.

As Gossip Cop reported last month, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also hinted at the studio’s desire for a sixth film following the purchase of Summit Entertainment, the franchise’s home.

The trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 2 will debut with The Hunger Games’ theatrical release in March.

“Breaking Dawn Part 1″ Tops List of 2011 Best Film Scores!

The Soundtrack Examiner shuffled through the best film scores of 2011 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 topped the list. Read what they had to say about the score below:

1. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1, composed by Carter Burwell (Atlantic)

Go ahead, call me a sellout. But I don’t think Carter Burwell has ever been given his due for his enormous contributions to film music. And the man continues to plow forward as one of the most creative minds in compositional minimalism as well as full-bodied orchestration. While he was probably disqualified for nomination at this year’s Academy Awards for Breaking Dawn – Part 1 because it was anchored heavily to the original Twilight score, his work was no less remarkable. I would go so far as to say that it was actually better than the original, given that, although he laid the original template for the Twilight sound, he was coming back into the fold on the heels of critical heavyweights Alexandre Desplat (with whom the Academy also bears an unspoken beef) and Howard Shore. Burwell fearlessly picked up the baton and ran with it, giving us a romantic score easily on par with Nino Rota’s Romeo & Juliet (which was also unceremoniously snubbed by the Academy in 1969). Booboo Stewart Interview With Media Mikes!

Booboo Stewart chatted with Media Mikes during his press tour for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1″ Blu-ray. He talks about his upcoming role in the Twilight Saga and more!

Mike Gencarelli: What would you say has been the coolest thing that has happened to you since joining “The Twilight Saga”?
Booboo Stewart:
Well there has been some really cool things…but I think the best part has been the fans. They make you these really cool handmade bracelets and in my room, my mom put these hooks up and I’ve got a bunch of them. Fans are able to send them to me via my PO Box and I’ll wear them in magazines and stuff like that. They’re able to see me wearing them and I think that is really cool.

MG: I was watching some of the special features on the “Breaking Dawn- Part 1″ Blu-ray and what was you say was the most challenging aspect of that shoot?
BS:
The beach scene was soooooo cold. Everyone was wearing these huge jackets and I was sitting there with my shirt off freezing. I remember that any of the shots that were above my waist, I had blankets, sweatpants, shoes…it was freezing.

MG: What can we expect from “Breaking Dawn- Part 2″?
BS:
I can’t give too much away obviously, even though its a book and all. You get to meet a lot of new characters in the second movie. During filming actually, it very hard to tell who was in which film. I can’t imagine for the AD and makeup people trying to figure out who was who. There were so many cast members on set at the same time, since they were filming two movies.

MG: Breaking Dawn- Part 2″ looks to amp up the action from “Part 1,″ how was the production?
BS:
Since I started with “Eclipse,” I think just having the different directors on set changes the whole vibe. For the short time I was there for “Eclipse,” David Slade was very technical and he knew what he wanted. When I got to work with Bill Condon, I worked with him a lot more and more personally as well. He was more of an actor’s director. He would talk to you and figure out what you are thinking in a scene and what your character was going through. This was also with everyone, didn’t matter the size of your role. So that was really different.

Stephenie Meyer Blogs About ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ & More!

Stephenie Meyer has taken to her official blog to discuss making Breaking Dawn part 1 and Breaking Dawn part 2, the ending of her lovely Saga and more. Read on below!

February 11, 2012

I’ve already said a lot about Breaking Dawn in various interviews, so most of this is probably not news. It was a surreal year in a lot of ways and also a crazy crash course in movie making, which came in really handy last summer (see Austenland).

Some of my favorite memories from filming BD 1&2, in random order:

- Weathering a “white squall” off the coast of Paraty, Brazil with the cast and crew during the filming of the honeymoon. We got trapped for the night due to rough seas—roughly 130 people in a house with eight beds, no food, and a very small amount of drinking water. I spent the night on the stair landing, sharing an old mattress covered in blackout fabric with the set photographer, set publicist, and the EPK team. (Shout out to the stair gang! Never forget!) I was actually offered a chance to escape, as was Bill Condon, but we both decided to go down with ship rather than abandon our crew.

- Exploring the third version of the Cullen House, a.k.a. Howl’s Moving Castle, now bigger and better than ever. Finally getting to see Alice’s room was awesome.

- Watching the creation of a three-story wedding cake composed of dead bodies. I may or may not have climbed to the top to get a picture.

- Being there for Kristen’s first wedding dress fitting. Magic. Even Summit’s head of marketing got all teary.

- Hanging with the new vampires. We had a lot of very cool people with us, which made the daily grind—particularly the days with wall-to-wall green screen and breathing-hazard fake snow—much more fun.

- Playing Farkle (wikipedia.org/wiki/Farkle) with Taylor and company. Yes, it is a real game, and just because I won doesn’t mean I was cheating.

- Wearing more clothes at one time than I’ve ever worn on our Pemberton , B.C. set. People from Arizona should not go outside during February in Canada. They just embarrass themselves.

Drying out layers of sock during our lunch break.

- Watching Noel and Guri sing classic Madonna in Romanian accents and full costume.

- Finally seeing Bella and Edward get married, even if it meant freezing my butt off and ending up on screen (ew). Richard Sherman’s design was so far beyond my expectations.

- The cottage! The nursery! It was a joke on set that any woman who walked into that nursery would spontaneously conceive. Too beautiful.

– Spending our very last night in beautiful St. Thomas. It was such a nice way to end 101 days of shooting.

From my hotel window in St. Thomas.

- Okay, this one doesn’t count because it’s not from the filming, but the premiere was a whole lot of amazing, and getting to meet style icon Carolina Herrera was one of the highest points in a night filled with high points. This may be my favorite picture ever:

Right now Breaking Dawn 2 is being edited and having special effects added. Still a ways to go with some very complicated effects; we’re doing some things we’ve never done before. I’ve gotten to see a few scenes so far, and everything is so cool. Bill Condon has such a gift. I was there, I saw everything get filmed, yet I’m still always surprised at how he’s able to put it together into something that is more than the sum of its parts.

I’m looking forward to the Breaking Dawn 1 DVD coming out this week. I actually have no idea what all is on it, and I’ve got my fingers crossed for some of my favorite scenes that didn’t make it into the movie.

I look forward to seeing some of you in the upcoming months as publicity for Breaking Dawn 2 starts up. It feels so weird to think it’s all coming to an end! Happy in some ways, depressing in others. The saddest part for me is that the next premiere is the last time I’ll get to see you guys all together. It’s something I always look forward to, even though it’s frenzied and I don’t really get a chance to talk to anybody. I’ll just tell myself that a couple of you will show up for The Host premiere so that I don’t get too depressed about finality and goodbyes. It’s been quite a ride, hasn’t it? Thanks for being there with me through all of this. It wouldn’t have been any fun without you. See, now I’m getting maudlin. Better call it quits before I start crying.
