Robert Pattinson April Fools Prank Makes BBC America’s Top Pranks List
Early in the morning an article appeared on ‘Be the Red Carpet’ claiming Robert Pattinson was set to take over the role of the Doctor from Matt Smith. Within the article the website claimed that BBC News and Yahoo UK had reported the news, and that Rob was eager to take the role, linking to an interview from 2008. The site also featured doctored articles to back up their claims.

BBC America searched the internet and compiled a list of the top pranks of the day and Be the Red Carpert’s made the cut. The prank has impressive company as it sits in the list with Google, Yahoo, The Daily Mail, BBC Radio and Twitter.

Romance is at the center of the Twilight franchise and that lands Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson at the top of our list. For this list, we’re only looking at domestic box office revenue from the last three years but Twilight has brought in $3.3 billion overall at the global box office.
That’s why Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson land at the top of our list of Hollywood’s Highest-Grossing Romantic Couples. We looked at the top-grossing romantic movies of the last three years. Twilight was by far the biggest box office winner over that period, earning $1.17 billion.
The fact that we get to track the couple’s off-screen romance along with their on-screen love just adds to the overall romance of the films. The couple is reportedly back together after breaking up over Stewart’s fling with the married director of her film Snow White and the Huntsman.
Pattinson is also a member of the 10th place couple on our list alongside Reese Witherspoon. Their film Water for Elephants earned $59 million in the U.S. in 2011. Those aren’t Twilight numbers, but considering that the movie brought in an extra $58 million internationally and only cost $38 million to make, it was a small hit.
To compile our list, we looked at the top-grossing romantic movies as classified by Box Office Mojo over the past three years and added up each couple’s total U.S.box office. While StewPatz have an advantage because they appeared in three high-grossing movies together during our time frame, there were other actors who also did well.

Twilight Fan Wins Date to Interview Robert Pattinson!
Amber Pursey, of Hillview School for Girls, won the right to meet the Hollywood heartthrob by making a minute-long video based on the Twilight Saga movie series which made him a star.
Her recreation of the famous baseball scene was chosen as one of five winners by judges, including Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw, earning the Ticehurst resident the chance to interview Pattinson at the London premiere of Breaking Dawn Part Two – the final in the series.
Judges were impressed by the use of costume in her tongue-in-cheek parody of the fantasy romance stories, which was filmed and edited with the help of fellow Hillview students Kate Bovey and Hattie Pursell, who also made their own entries.
The 15-year-old Year 11 student, of Three Leg Cross, said all three 60-second films were conceived, shot, edited and submitted within three days.
She told the Courier: “We heard about it on a Friday, sent them off on a Sunday and I got a call the next day saying I had been shortlisted in the last 15 and I would win if they called me up live on air and I answered with a werewolf howl.
“I was gobsmacked. I had entered thinking I probably wouldn’t get in, but then I got the call and just went ‘arggggh!’”

Robert Pattinson met Richard Gere on Friday when he attended a luncheon in honor of the silver-haired actor’s awards buzzy film, Arbitrage, at Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles. (If you missed it, you can see pics of them HERE!)
But what you may not know is that Gere didn’t exactly realize how major the Twilight star was.
“He was a perfectly nice guy, but I had no idea,” Gere told me at the Governors Awards. “But I was getting calls from my wife going, ‘What are you doing with him? He’s so cute, but what are you doing with him?’”
So Gere’s better half, model-actress Carey Lowell, is a Twi-hard?!
“My wife is aware of these things,” Gere laughed. “I don’t know that she’s a fan.”
