Next Movie: Why Edward & Bella are a Better Couple Than Jack & Rose from ‘Titanic’

With the anticipation of the release of Titanic in 3D, Next Movie has put together a list of why Edward and Bella top Titanic couple Jack and Rose.

Instant Attraction

Rob and Kristen are both extremely beautiful creatures. From their first curious eye contact across the cafeteria in “Twilight,” it became clear that these two would become something special for Hollywood. Whereas Rose was busy turning up her nose at Jack on the lido deck and seeking an out from her opulent life, Bella and Edward’s curiosity about each other was piqued at the outset … though for very different reasons. Consequently, the world became as instantly enamored with Bella and Edward as they were with one another, and R.Pattz and K-Stew became A-listers with household names right away (and no one had to get naked on the couch for that to happen, either).

Screen Chemistry

Rob and Kristen have undeniable on-screen (and, so they say, off-screen) chemistry. Sure Leo and Kate played a cute — albeit ill-fated — couple, but they only had one movie’s worth of screentime to make gooey eyes at one another. When all is said and done, there’ll have been about 10 hours of supernatural seduction to speak of with the “Twilight” duo.

There’s also the hunk factor to consider here. “Titanic” was definitely made during Leo’s hunky heyday, but given R.Pattz’s soft English accent, touchable tresses and self-deprecating humor, he’s got it going on. And have you ever heard him sing? Oh, that’s right. Of course you have; Rob’s luscious vocals were featured twice on the “Twilight” soundtrack.

The Love Story

The romance of Bella and Edward is one for the ages. Not only is their passion for one another intense and all-consuming, but it also completely alters the meaning of forever. All I’m saying is immortal eternity lasts a lot longer than a boat ride across the Atlantic (especially when it crashes halfway).

Head over to Next Movie here to read the rest!

Variety Reports That Stephenie Meyer Does Not Have Plans For More ‘Twilight’ Books

We previously quoted Lionsgate saying that they’d be happy to make more Twilight movies if Stephenie Meyer was willing to write more. Well, Variety has now Tweeted that Lionsgate’s statement has annoyed Stephenie Meyer:

HUNGER GAMES presales begin tomorrow; early tracking shows it outpacing the first TWILIGHT pic. My theory as to why: Safe for boys.

As long as we’re on topic: Stephenie Meyer was deeply annoyed that LG brass said they’d do more TWILIGHT pics. She has no such intention.

What do you all think? Weigh in by Tweeting us HERE!

Lionsgate: We’ll Make Sixth Twilight Movie If Stephenie Meyer Writes New Book

Come on Stephenie, get your fingers to the keyboard and write up a sixth Twilight book… please? Lionsgate would eagerly make it into a movie, as they stated. Read on:

From GossipCop:

There are more indications that The Twilight Saga could continue after Breaking Dawn Part 2, the fifth and (assumed to be) final film in the hit vampire series.

On Friday, Lionsgate executive Rob Friedman said that the studio would develop an additional movie should Twilight author Stephenie Meyer decide to write a fifth book.

“If she wishes to do it, we’ll be there to support her,” THR quotes Friedman as saying during a call with analysts.

As Gossip Cop reported last month, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also hinted at the studio’s desire for a sixth film following the purchase of Summit Entertainment, the franchise’s home.

The trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 2 will debut with The Hunger Games’ theatrical release in March.

Julia Jones Talks About How She Landed Her Role In The Twilight Saga!

Julia Jones chatted with Boston Magazine about her role in the Twilight Saga! Check out the excerpt below:

Jones grew up in Jamaica Plain, started dancing at Boston Ballet when she was four, and performed every year in The Nutcracker at the Wang Theatre. “I loved being in the opening party scene the best,” she says. While attending Boston Latin School, she modeled in numerous commercials and print ads and credits her Boston Ballet teacher Sydney Leonard with instilling in her the kind of discipline that has carried her through “almost every situation.”

Attending Columbia University in NYC, she continued her acting journey with the help Ruth Babson, with whom she studied 25 hours a week. Her hard work paid off with roles in films like the indie The Look and Jonah Hex opposite Josh Brolin. Then along came Twilight.

“I got a phone call from a casting agent to come in and audition for the Twilight movie Eclipse. I had not read any of the books, so I quickly ran to Barnes and Noble and flipped through them.” After reading twice for the director and casting crew, she agonized for a month until she heard the good news — only to be told she had to keep it a secret for another month. “I couldn’t tell anyone, not even my family.”

‘Wuthering Heights’ Sales Soar After ‘Twilight’ Cover Re-Vamp

When Stephenie Meyer featured the literary classic, Wuthering Heights in her Twilight saga, she breathed new life into Emily Bronte’s love story. Now, thanks to a new Twilight-esque cover re-vamp, sales of the book are booming.

According to Britain’s Telegraph, Twi-hards in Britain have been flocking to their nearest bookstore in droves to buy the classic novel after Meyer made it the main character Bella’s favorite book in the series. The lovestruck teen (played by Kristen Stewart in the hit films) is often seen quoting from the novel, comparing her love for vampire, Edward (played by Brit hottie Robert Pattinson) to Cathy’s passion for Heathcliff.

It was a no-brainer when publisher Harper Collins announced last fall they were going to reissue the novel, with a gothic style cover similar to Meyer’s own books. Featuring the tag line “Bella and Edward’s Favorite Book”, the marketing ploy caused a controversy in literary circles at the time but it certainly seems to have worked — sales of the book have since quadrupled.

According to Nielsen Bookscan, the reissue saw sales peak at 34,023 in Britain over the last year compared to 8,551 when the book was published with the original cover back in 2005. Wuthering Heights is now currently one of the best selling novels in UK supermarket Tesco as well as more traditional bookstores through out the country.

Robert Pattinson talks The Twiligt Saga!

At the start of this new interview with Robert Pattinson he talks about his role in the Twilight Saga and what effect it could have on his other projects. I think Rob’s acting is so well rounded that no matter what role he is in it will be interesting. He’s a great actor and has a natural magnetism.
